About the Role
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Consultant to join our expanding Gastroenterology service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our progressive Gastroenterology service.
Main Responsibilities
As a Gastroenterology Consultant, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expert care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including endoscopy and gastroenterology outpatient services.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participating in clinical trials and research studies to advance the field of Gastroenterology.
- Contributing to the development of national GI & bowel cancer screening policies, endoscopic accreditation, and training.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Full registration and a license to practice with the GMC.
- Independent endoscopist capable of delivering on-call emergency endoscopy.
- Evidence of audit and the implementation of change following the audit (desirable).
