Position Overview:
HAR Labcorp is actively looking for a Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Technician to become a vital part of the Bioanalysis team on a full-time basis. This position entails operating liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) systems, addressing method-related challenges, and contributing to method development with limited oversight.
The technician will work closely with Scientists to ensure that studies are executed in accordance with scientific protocols and standards efficiently.
The role involves rotating shift patterns, which include:
- 6am-2:15pm
- 8:45am-5pm
- 11:45am-8pm
- 2pm-10pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and COSHH regulations.
- Adhere to regulatory standards and maintain familiarity with GLP and GCP guidelines.
- Carry out study activities in compliance with established protocols and SOPs.
- Effectively utilize data management systems for communication and documentation purposes.
Specific Tasks:
- Prepare and operate LC-MS/MS instrumentation.
- Conduct sample analyses on designated LC-MS/MS systems.
- Assist in the development of new methodologies under supervision.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintain cleanliness within the laboratory environment.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience with LC-MS/MS instruments.
- Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Relevant educational background in chemistry or a related discipline.
