Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Join GSL Education as a Learning Support Assistant and play a pivotal role in providing dedicated support to students with unique learning requirements.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the classroom teacher and other professionals to implement a personalized learning plan tailored to the student's needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with learning needs, on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Assisting in the implementation of individualized education plans.
  • Collaborating with teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to support the student effectively.
  • Fostering a positive and supportive relationship with the student to promote their well-being and engagement.
  • Monitoring and tracking the student's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents as needed.
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure a holistic support system.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting student success.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for supporting young people to learn and develop.
