We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Stark Building Materials UK. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for managing payroll for around 1700 monthly paid employees across our UK companies.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Management: Ensure accurate and timely payment of employees, in line with contractual terms and payment frequencies.
- Payroll Support: Provide payroll support and advice to our colleagues across the business.
- Statutory Payments: Apply and validate company and statutory payments of sickness, maternity, and paternity.
- Court Orders: Apply and validate court orders across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland legislation.
- Document Management: Validate incoming P6, P45, and New Starter Checklist (NSC) documents.
- Team Collaboration: Attend weekly team meetings and huddles to maintain an acceptable standard of service delivery.
- Process Management: Ensure processes and procedures are adhered to, and maintained, in line with business controls, internal and external audit procedures.
- Error Management: Validate any exception and/or error reports for reasonableness.
- Customer Service: Ensure good customer links are forged and maintained, by ownership of an allocated section of the payroll.
- Legislative Knowledge: Keep up to date with changes in legislation and best practice to ensure a professional service is always provided.
- Year End Reporting: Contribute to the production of timely and accurate year-end data to H.M. Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
- Acquisition Support: Ongoing acquisition support when required for newly acquired businesses.
- Administrative Tasks: Filing of processed paperwork, as and when required.
- Other Duties: Carry out all other administrative duties connected with payroll processing.
