Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our big data infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data warehousing stack, ensuring seamless data processing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the transition of our data architecture from a relational database to a modern data warehousing stack.
- Improve the speed and efficiency of our product data pipeline.
- Enhance our processes and practices for ingesting and managing vast quantities of fleet operational data.
- Create autonomous, data-driven workflows using cloud infrastructure and supporting tools.
- Collaborate with our DevOps team to deliver agile development and prompt customer onboarding.
- Assist our Analytics team with data challenges using big data processing techniques.
- Establish and promote data management best practices and standards.
- Strong background in STEM, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (BA/BSc level or higher) and relevant work experience.
- Extensive experience with databricks or a similar modern data stack provider.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience using cloud services for data processing, storage, and containerized or scalable compute.
- Good understanding of CI/CD development practices.
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically about complex data-related challenges.
