Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the nursing process and assist registered nurses in ongoing assessment, planning, management, and evaluation of care.
- Support individuals with daily living needs, providing person-centred care and promoting health and independence through awareness raising and care navigation.
- Perform and record clinical observations as per NEWS2 and Trust policy, escalating as necessary.
- Undertake clinical tasks, including cannulation, venepuncture, and ECGs, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Accurately record nutritional and fluid intake, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Maintain the privacy, dignity, and safety of individuals at all times, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate the ability to recognize changing priorities and seek advice and guidance from registered nurses or other registered care professionals as needed.
- Report back and share information with registered nurses on the condition, behavior, activity, and responses of individuals.
Requirements:
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing or care role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
