About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Telecare Officer to join our Building Services Team at Mid Devon District Council. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a vital role in delivering our Community Alarm service to customers across the Mid Devon area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase business and promote services to local charities and organisations.
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to staff installing community alarms and telecare equipment, including delivering in-house training to Supported Housing Officers.
  • Consult with client groups to monitor levels of customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with local charities and organisations to provide financial support to service users and promote services through public presentations.
Requirements
  • Experience of working directly with vulnerable people in housing management or a similar environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with a minimum level of supervision.
  • Ability to drive extensively throughout the Mid Devon area.
  • Ability to communicate with service users across a variety of levels.
  • Demonstrates the ability and motivation to achieve results.
