Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Battery Engineer / Field Service Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the service department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing forklift batteries and charging equipment on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and repair forklift batteries and charging equipment on customer sites
  2. Liaise closely with Key Accounts and carry out repairs and services as required
  3. Carry out battery topping, cleaning, and maintenance on customer premises
  4. Shift covers for sickness & holiday support
  5. Submit all job sheets and reports to head office on a weekly basis
  6. Safely prepare equipment for transportation
  7. Build up strong relationships with members of staff and customers
  8. Work closely with the service department to plan and schedule jobs and prioritise urgent callouts
Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of forklift batteries & chargers is desirable but not essential
  2. Background in Battery & Charger repairs & maintenance is desirable but not essential
  3. Excellent communication skills within the company and externally with customers
  4. Must hold Full UK Driving Licence, as company van will be provided
  5. Ability to function as part of a team
  6. Diligent and conscientious attitude with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
  7. Ability to work unsupervised
  8. Well organised, confident and professional
Location:

Swindon, Bristol, Southampton, Slough, High Wycombe, Heathrow, Watford and surrounding areas.

This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
