EdEx Education Recruitment is working with an excellent Primary School in the Borough of Croydon to hire an Education Assistant - Autism Specialist.


The Education Assistant - Autism Specialist role involves working alongside teachers and SENCO to assist children with additional needs, such as ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers in the classroom to deliver high-quality education to students with autism and other special needs.
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation to ensure a tailored approach to each student's learning requirements.
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with autism, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborating with the SENCO to develop and implement strategies to support students with autism and other special needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism and other special needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality education to students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
