Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our client's dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, and relocate materials within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload goods from lorries.
  • Move materials throughout the warehouse using a warehouse management system.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage or injury.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
  • Maintain an organised work area, ensuring that all equipment is stored correctly after use.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is essential.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving processes will be beneficial.
  • Strong skills in materials handling and heavy lifting are required.
  • Basic maths skills for inventory management and documentation are necessary.
