Job Description

**Job Title:** Experienced Fabricator/Welder Wanted for Permanent Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team at Scout Recruiting LTD. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of processes and materials, with a minimum of 10 years experience in an Oil & Gas, Pipefitting, Pressure Vessel or similar environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation of isometrics and engineering drawings
  • Fabricate parts from drawings
  • Good understanding of imperial/metric dimensions
  • Prepare parts for welding (saw, pillar drill, grinding, pipe bending, pipe threading, weld preparation)
  • Welding or preparation and tack up of class 1/ISO 3834 welding activities, including understanding and interpretation of WPS
  • Prepare parts for welding (saw, pillar drill, grinding, pipe bending, pipe threading, weld preparation)
  • Ensure ALL machines are checked on a daily basis completing relevant check sheets

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years Fabricating experience in an Oil & Gas, Pipefitting, Pressure Vessel or similar environment
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings
  • GCSE grade A-C Maths, English and Science
  • Good communicator verbal and written
  • Good team player
  • Good time-keeping and attendance record
  • Well organised and efficient
  • Confident and Assertive
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Conscientious
  • Driving Licence
  • Fork Lift Licence
  • Confident and able to work unsupervised
  • Class 1 Skilled Fabricator/Welder (will be expected to pass a class 1 TIG fillet weld test)
  • Pressure vessel and pipework within the petrochemical industry experience
  • Clean work area and put up all tools at the end of each shift
  • Flexible and able to work on multiple jobs during one shift
  • Lives within 1 hour commute to the office, or willing to relocate locally
  • Must be able to drive
