The primary objective of this position is to assist the Site / Account Manager in ensuring that the site is managed proficiently and that the designated cleaning standards are consistently upheld.

Role Overview

Core Responsibilities:

The key areas of responsibility and personal qualifications for this role are outlined below:

To provide support and assistance to your Site / Account Manager in their responsibilities. To guarantee that cleaning staff are adequately trained and that training records are accurately maintained. To ensure compliance with site regulations and Company policies. Communicating with customers/clients as necessary. Performing personal cleaning tasks and covering for cleaning staff as needed. To oversee staff to ensure that established cleaning and operational standards are consistently met, reporting any concerns to the Site / Account Manager. Collaborate with the Site / Account Manager to confirm that appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment are utilized. Welcome, orient, and train new or relief cleaning staff, ensuring they comprehend their roles and that training records are current. Monitor attendance and punctuality of staff; promptly inform the Site / Account Manager of any staffing needs or adherence failures to Company/Region reporting procedures. Ensure all personnel wear the correct company uniform, maintain professionalism, and represent the company positively. Notify the Account Manager of any vacancies and assist in the recruitment of cleaning staff. Daily review and update the site communication log, taking necessary actions as requested. Submit required paperwork, including timesheets, punctually on a weekly basis. Order cleaning supplies and ensure their availability on-site in designated areas. Supervise and coordinate periodic project work (if applicable) and any additional tasks agreed upon with the client. Assist with monthly quality audits and implement corrective measures as needed. Ensure familiarity with site documentation and maintain its accuracy. Support the Site / Account Manager in their responsibilities and undertake any additional tasks as required. Participate in training as necessary and appropriate. Fulfill any other reasonable requests or duties as required by the client/company.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

To take reasonable care of your own health and safety. To ensure that others – colleagues and the public – are not put at risk by your actions or inactions during work. Not to misuse or interfere with anything provided for health, safety, or welfare. To report any injuries, strains, or illnesses resulting from work activities. To inform the company of any circumstances that may affect your ability to work, such as pregnancy or injury. If operating machinery or driving, you must inform the company of any medication that may impact your safety or that of others. To cooperate with the company in receiving training to perform work activities safely. If further training is needed or safety concerns arise, you must notify the company. To adhere to all company training, safe working practices, and Health and Safety policies. To ensure that staff receive a quality induction that provides necessary information, instruction, supervision, and training for safe duty execution. To facilitate communication and provide feedback as necessary. To ensure that all equipment under your control is serviced and maintained safely. To ensure that expectant mothers are advised to their line manager for appropriate risk assessments relevant to their activities. To ensure that all accidents, incidents, and health issues arising from work are reported and documented. To regularly inspect and monitor work areas for unsafe conditions. To ensure that any subcontractors engaged by the company on your site have the correct method statement and risk assessment for their activities. To regularly review health and safety arrangements with your line manager for effectiveness. To ensure compliance with all company safety policies. To promptly inform the Site / Area Manager of any non-compliance or issues. To be fully aware of individual and reporting staff responsibilities regarding the Company's Health and Safety Policy Statement. To report any workplace accidents to the Site/Account Manager immediately and complete necessary paperwork. To be responsible for the safe use and care of equipment and materials, wearing appropriate protective clothing as provided.

Candidate Profile:

To reside within commuting distance of the site and be available to travel to other local sites as requested by the account manager. To be willing to work unsocial hours as necessary. To comply with safety requirements for operatives. To maintain effective and professional relationships with team members and customers. Previous supervisory experience, preferably within the cleaning sector, is desirable but not essential. Experience in delivering exceptional customer service. Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently. Capable of multitasking with a methodical approach and the ability to work under pressure. Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team. Enthusiastic about building relationships and effectively liaising with clients and colleagues. Ability to train and coach employees both formally and informally. Working knowledge of Health and Safety systems in the cleaning industry. Ability to identify personal training needs and utilize available resources for self-development. Capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment, furniture, and waste. Able to wear personal protective equipment as provided. An effective communicator with a good command of English. Capable of planning and prioritizing workload to meet objectives timely. Able to identify problems and take appropriate action to resolve them. Able to follow instructions regarding the use of cleaning materials and machinery. Capable of maintaining a consistent standard of service in cleaning duties. Able to adhere to manual handling and health and safety regulations as required. Flexible approach to work. Recognizes the importance of completing projects effectively and efficiently. Uses judgment to know when to seek help and guidance. Takes responsibility for personal work and demonstrates initiative. Records information accurately and pays attention to detail.
