Job Title: Shift Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of industrial cleaning and waste management services across the area. This role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, team motivation, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and plan cleaning and waste activities in conjunction with customers to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Ensure efficient working practices among team members and individuals.
  • Carry out quality and health and safety audits, addressing any non-conformances identified.
  • Train staff in safety aspects and ensure they are working to relevant RAMS and schedules.
  • Monitor and record staff attendance, holiday allocation, and timekeeping, applying company policies and procedures.
  • Understand and apply company HR processes for dealing with grievances and disciplinary situations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of supervising staff.
  • Relevant experience of cleaning and waste contracts.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience of operating plant equipment.
  • Effective customer query and complaint handling.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification.
