About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teacher to join a progressive and inclusive school in Christchurch. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing tailored lessons that foster their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet the unique needs of students with SEN.
  • Provide personalized support and guidance to autistic students, helping them grow academically and personally.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and outside professionals to create strong support plans for SEN students.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress, ensuring all paperwork is up-to-date.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience of working in a secondary school is preferred.
  • Experience of working with SEN students.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions, including behaviour management techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
