Overview of the Position

Balfour Beatty is in search of a committed and proficient Construction Site Engineer (TP) to become a part of our Major Projects Division.

This role is integral to the development of a significant nuclear power facility, which is pivotal for the future energy landscape of the UK. This monumental undertaking is essential for fulfilling the energy requirements of the nation and promoting sustainable advancements.

As a Construction Site Engineer (TP), your responsibilities will include overseeing engineering operations and ensuring the effective execution of tasks on-site, along with tracking and reporting on progress.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will encompass:

Developing detailed schematics and providing setting out information for installations Analyzing and interpreting technical drawings, schedules, and specifications Creating accurate as-built documentation and maintaining comprehensive records Measuring actual materials utilized, reconciling with theoretical estimates, and addressing any inconsistencies Compiling weekly measurements, precise material schedules, and requisitions, ensuring timely procurement Identifying hazards and contributing to the formulation of Safe Systems of Work

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess:

Expertise in utilizing leveling instruments, EDM, and GPS technology. The capability to comprehend and interpret complex drawings and schedules. Previous experience in nuclear island projects and tunneling (preferred) Flexibility: Willingness to work during unconventional hours or night shifts.
