Control Systems Engineer

Automation Experts Ltd is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a specialist in designing and assembling automated machinery for FMCG sectors, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and precision of systems, utilising your expertise to optimise performance and drive innovation.

The Role:
  • Design PLC-based electrical control systems from design specifications
  • Program PLC, HMI, and safety configurable relay systems
  • Configure remote I/O, servo motor, and inverter drives
  • Integrate ancillary equipment into production lines, such as vision systems
  • Fault find electrical control systems, PLC, and hardware systems
  • Commission, support, and service at customer sites
The Person:
  • Ideal HND/HNC qualified within a relevant Electrical discipline
  • Firm grounding in control systems and PLC-based control is essential
  • Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron PLCs ideal
  • Understanding of vision and SCADA systems
  • Experience of the pharmaceutical industry and/or explosive atmosphere regulations desirable
