Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Acute Oncology

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Acute Oncology Service at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care, working autonomously to diagnose and formulate management plans for patients with acute oncology needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical assessment, history taking, and examination skills to diagnose and manage patients with acute oncology needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ward rounds, patient reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Undertake a range of clinical skills, including non-medical prescribing, to provide treatment and advice to patients.
  • Lead in the development and updating of referral guidelines and policies for the service.
  • Manage and escalate medical emergencies appropriately.
  • Contribute to the quality improvement and audit of care pathways.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience at a senior level in cancer or acute care.
  • Experience in service development and implementation of change.
  • Advanced physical assessment skills, non-medical prescribing, and acute clinical practice.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
