Job Title: Food-To-Go Bakery Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Food-To-Go Bakery Assistant at our SPAR store in Peterborough. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and contributing to the success of our store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present high-quality food and beverages to our customers, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales targets and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Upsell and promote our products to customers, highlighting special offers and promotions.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail or food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
