Job Title: Financial Manager - Rent and Service Charges

Cy Resourcing is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the rent and service charge function, including line management of the Finance Officer (Rent and Service Charge).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the rent and service charge function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and review annual rental income and service charge budgets, ensuring that service charge costs are accurately determined and charged.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints related to rent and service charge functions.
  • Prepare forecasts and management information, including accounts and balance sheet reconciliations for rent and service charge areas.
  • Lead the production of service charge statements for actual costs, ensuring alignment with tenancy agreements and lease obligations.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Value for Money (VFM) and reduction of annual service charge deficits.
  • Develop and maintain rent and service charge setting policies, controls, procedure guides, and processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure systems and databases used for rent and service charge calculation and charging are up-to-date, accurate, and contain relevant information.
  • Provide advice and training to the business on rent and service charge matters.
