Job Title: Associate Digital Delivery Director

We are seeking an experienced Associate Digital Delivery Director to join our senior digital team and deliver our multi-year digital plan.

The successful candidate will have a track record of delivery and working in concert with multi-stakeholder groups, with a strong focus on producing the overall programme plan that turns the Strategy into a work programme and enables the management team to identify the funding and resources required for delivery.

The role will involve leading the Programme Management Office (PMO) working closely with the Chief Information Officer and all key stakeholders, aligning programmes to the annual delivery plan in our Trust's priority programmes.

The Associate Digital Delivery Director will also lead and support a diverse team, ensuring everyone can thrive and belong at UHS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Digital Development and our Transformation Team to deliver integrated and aligned programmes of work for Trust priorities.
  • Lead on Digital transformation including change management and training.
  • Develop a robust approach for implementation services that accommodate the wide range of users and their digital capabilities.
  • Lead on Programme risk management ensuring programme and project risks are managed and assured within the digital programme.
  • Manage the successful delivery of programme objectives against the Trust's Strategy.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience with complex budget and digital project/programme management.
  • Knowledge of programme and project management within a technical setting and experience of managing large-scale, highly complex programmes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, team development, leadership, and communications skills.
  • Commitment to building positive working partnerships with senior managers, staff, and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in computer-related/numerate subject or significant equivalent experience with highly specialist technical knowledge in a relevant field.
  • Educated to Master's degree or significant equivalent experience with highly specialist technical knowledge in a relevant field.
  • Evidence of further leadership and management training or equivalent.
  • ITIL Expert
  • TOGAF 9 Certified
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Previous experience of authoring complex technical business cases for > £3m value, including detailed option appraisals.
  • Significant proven and demonstrated experience as a senior manager, head of service, programme lead, or architect in IT/digital services.
  • Knowledge of the supplier community and account management.
  • Programme/project manager within a technical/IT setting.
  • Extensive experience of leading a team delivering change in a service-critical and complex environment.
  • Staff management experience at a senior level, including change management and redesign of service delivery.
  • Procurement experience, including options appraisal and selection of suppliers/authorising purchases.
  • Management of Risk (MOR).
Skills and Competencies:
  • Budget management.
  • Change management.
  • Data analysis.
  • Workforce planning.
