About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Technician to join our team at the RNLI. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our cutting-edge equipment, ensuring that our lifesaving services are always available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair a range of equipment, including marine vessels, construction equipment, and heavy goods vehicles.
  • Work with staff and volunteers to ensure that equipment is returned to service as quickly as possible.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Good knowledge of IT skills.
  • High-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Driving licence and ability to tow and operate a forklift.
  • Ability to work at sea and satisfy the Institution's medical and eyesight standards.
