About the Role

Blake Morgan LLP is seeking to expand its dynamic Real Estate team in Southampton by welcoming applications for the position of Residential Property Solicitor. Our team is dedicated to serving both domestic and international clients, providing comprehensive legal support in property transactions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Residential Property Solicitor, you will engage in a diverse range of tasks related to the acquisition and disposal of both freehold and leasehold properties. Your duties will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and modifying legal documents such as contracts, deeds, and correspondence
  • Conducting searches and managing land registry processes, including title research and addressing follow-up inquiries
  • Overseeing the exchange of contracts, completion processes, and post-completion activities
  • Providing guidance on financial aspects including mortgage redemptions, equity transfers, and refinancing
  • Addressing issues related to residential tenancies and licenses
  • Advising on property transactions for new developments
  • Engaging in secured lending activities

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a UK qualified Solicitor with approximately 2 years of post-qualification experience in Residential Property. You should possess:

  • Proficiency in IT applications
  • High levels of self-motivation and the ability to manage your own caseload effectively
