Key Responsibilities:- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and documentation to create accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather information and clarify project scope.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing.
- Continuously update and refine cost databases and estimating tools to ensure accurate and current pricing.
- Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to the development of project schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
- Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle to identify any deviations from the original estimate.
- Provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions and value engineering options.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in large-scale construction.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
