About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to join our team as a Sexual Offence Examiner at Mountain Healthcare. As a key member of our clinical forensic healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing dedicated support and care to victims of sexual assault.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Paramedic to join our innovative and market-leading service provider within Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs). You will receive full training and support to become a qualified Forensic Practitioner, with further opportunities to undertake additional higher education after one year in-post.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct forensic examinations and obtain forensic exhibits in accordance with FFLM guidelines.
  • Develop and implement forensic strategies in partnership with external Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) and Police.
  • Act as the first point of contact for victims, Police, and Social Services to discuss referral pathways and manage the self-referral pathway.
  • Undertake holistic assessments, including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding, and produce individual management plans.
  • Support the continued quality improvement of the service and work under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
  • Obtain consent for health and forensic procedures.
Essential Skills
  • Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, or Paramedic.
  • A minimum of 3 years + relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults.
  • Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
  • Phlebotomy skills.
  • Experience of autonomous working.
  • Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
