We are seeking a skilled Turner/Miller to join our team at Shackleton Recruitment Group. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting and operating Manual Turning/Milling machines to produce high-quality components to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture parts to customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct first-off inspections and in-work inspections to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
- Select and use suitable tooling for set up and manufacture, ensuring efficient production processes.
- Perform changeovers between jobs, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, implementing remedial actions to resolve problems.
- Accurately track timing and costs using our MRP system.
- Time-served miller/turner with in-depth knowledge of engineering, particularly around shaft/keyway manufacture.
- Experience with CNC machines is preferred.
- Ability to accurately breakdown work and produce one-offs.
- Driven and dynamic individual with strong problem-solving skills.
