Quality and Governance Director

At Signature Senior Lifestyle, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality and Governance Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of care and quality in our homes.
About the RoleThe Quality and Governance Director will be responsible for coordinating the care and support of our residents, ensuring quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and quality monitoring of resident care services. You will work closely with our Clinical Services Managers and Dementia Care Managers to provide leadership and clinical support, and will be responsible for implementing and developing our My Life Strategy and Care Services Policy.
Key Responsibilities- Training: Coach Clinical Services Managers and Dementia Care Managers, conduct care-related training as required, and monitor the competency of staff who administer medication.
- Quality Care: Visit each home once every six weeks to evaluate processes and complete compliance audits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Provide group expertise regarding local and national regulations, ensuring homes remain compliant at all times with regulatory standards.
- Financial Management: Provide recommendations to the home leadership and senior team to enhance length of stay, increase care levels, and effectively manage nurse labour levels.
- Recruitment: Support the homes to determine appropriate staffing levels within the care departments, interview Clinical Services Managers in collaboration with the Operations Teams, and develop and maintain relationships with professional organisations and schools of nursing.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN, have extensive clinical/medical knowledge, and an excellent understanding of regulatory standards. Previous long-term care auditing experience is also desirable. You will need to be able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and have strong planning, communication, and organisational skills.
