Job Summary

The Staffing Network Ltd is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and assist in the setting up of a new small warehouse. This is a permanent position with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Warehouse Management: Manage overall operation and supervision, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  2. Inventory Control: Inspect warehousing area daily to ensure products are not crowded and all areas are clean, and check inventory data to provide guidance.
  3. Communication: Conduct routine communication with the Director about availability of supplies and ensure warehousing and distribution adhere to warehouse guidelines.
  4. Staff Supervision: Hold weekly and monthly meetings with warehouse staff to receive their input and provide guidance, and meet and brief the Director regularly to resolve any warehousing-related issues.
  5. Quality Assurance: Monitor quality assurance, safety, and sufficient shelf life for commodities, and review inventory data to conduct routine physical counts to ensure the inventory is correct.
  6. Warehouse Systems: Supervise and monitor the overall warehouse systems and operations, including receiving, dispatching, storing stock, picking, and completing checklists.
  7. Issue Identification: Identify issues and activities, address them on a daily/weekly basis, or bring them to management's attention.
  8. Staff Organization: Organize and supervise warehouse staff, and assist with general warehouse duties to include loading/unloading, picking, and packing.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and management, with strong communication and leadership skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a flexible and hands-on approach to assist with all-round duties.
