We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated lecturer to join our team at the University of Brighton. As a lecturer in architecture and design, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our students and contributing to the development of our curriculum.
About the Role:
- Teach and assess students on our BA(Hons) Architecture course, with a focus on design studio and technologies modules.
- Develop and deliver innovative teaching practices that support the delivery of a curriculum that spans the cultural, socio-economic, and physical aspects of architecture.
- Contribute to the development of our research profile and REF submissions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the student experience and promote excellence in teaching and research.
Requirements:
- Appropriate professional architectural practice or teaching experience, supported by professional body membership such as ARB/RIBA or an international equivalent.
- Knowledge that supports the delivery of a curriculum that spans the cultural, socio-economic, and physical aspects of architecture.
- A commitment to develop innovative teaching practices and excellent design and communications skills.
- A high-quality research profile and evidence of the potential to develop externally funded research programmes.
