Position Overview:
A reputable logistics firm is in search of a dedicated and diligent individual to become a part of their operations team as a logistics coordinator/transport operator.

In this versatile role, you will be tasked with managing and delivering cargo within designated areas. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all items are transported securely and efficiently to their intended destinations. This position requires adaptability, as it involves both weekday and occasional weekend/evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently load and unload cargo from vehicles, ensuring careful handling to avoid any damage.
  • Transport items to and from various locations, including transport hubs and client sites.
  • Operate company vehicles (such as Berlingo and Transit models) for cargo collection and delivery.
  • Maintain precise records of cargo handling and delivery operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to facilitate seamless operations.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols while managing and transporting cargo.
  • Conduct routine checks on vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.

Requirements:
  • Must be over 25 years old due to insurance stipulations.
  • Possess a valid clean driver's license with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exemplary customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to lift and transport heavy items safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings as necessary.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive 5-year reference check.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, including a half-hour break. Additional hours for cargo collection and delivery outside of standard working hours will be compensated with time off in lieu or additional pay, as agreed upon.

Compensation:
Salary:
