Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualised support to the pupil to promote their engagement with education.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages the pupil to thrive.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement a tailored behaviour plan.
- Support the development of social skills and effective emotional management.
- Foster a positive relationship with the pupil, promoting their well-being and building trust.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, external agencies, and the wider school community to ensure seamless support for the pupil.
- Previous experience working with pupils who have challenging behaviour or have been excluded from mainstream schools is desirable.
- A strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with pupils.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with pupils facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the pupils.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
