Join Axon Moore as a Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Management Accountant to join our team in Preston. As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Financial Controller in driving business performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and complex work in progress.
  • Multi-Site Reporting: Develop and maintain multi-site reporting and individual subsidiary performance.
  • Financial Analysis: Identify key variances to budget, re-forecast, and prior year.
  • Internal Reporting: Enhance focus on improving internal reporting, building MI pack, and focusing on potential areas of the business.
  • Statutory Accounts: Prepare year-end statutory accounts.
  • VAT Returns: Complete VAT returns for group companies prior to submission to HMRC.
  • System Maintenance: Post corrective journals to system and ensure MI agrees to relevant system on a monthly basis.
  • Team Management: Assist with the management of a team of four.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Complete regular re-forecasting and annual budget submission.
  • Cash Flow and Working Capital: Understand and analyze cash flow, working capital, and identify key movements and improvement opportunities.
  • Business Intelligence: Develop and utilize BI tool to drive business performance.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Support with ad hoc project work and future acquisitions.
