Job Description

Job Title: Class 2 Driver - Permanent Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Driver to join our delivery team at Wincanton. As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to JD Sports locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver goods to JD Sports locations, adhering to safe working practices and ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
  • Secure loads of the trailer to minimize the chances of damage to products.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times, taking ownership of customer issues on delivery.
  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.
  • Be aware of any vehicle defects and report them to the Transport Office as necessary.
  • Attend essential training to carry out the Driver role.
Requirements:
  • Valid in-date Class 2 licence.
  • Valid in-date CPC.
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on your licence.
  • Excellent customer-facing awareness skills.
  • Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised.
  • Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first-class customer service.
  • Good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
