About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at B&M Care Homes. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cook in the preparation of meals, including vegetables and other ingredients.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including the cooker, oven, hot plate, Bain Maries, fridges, and freezers, in accordance with our cleaning schedule.
  • Dispose of waste bags in a safe and hygienic manner, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of tea trolleys, trays, and the dishwasher.
Requirements
  • Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or above.
  • Be able to work flexible hours, including alternate weekends.
