Pearson Financial Services (PFS) serves as Pearson's hub for all financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and financial oversight activities. We collaborate closely with various business units, finance partners, and group reporting to deliver exceptional financial guidance and support.
As a Financial Planning Analyst within the English Language Learning (ELL) division, your primary responsibilities will encompass:
- Month-end processes, including journal entries
- Budgeting and forecasting activities
- Financial reporting and analytical assessments
- Addressing ad hoc inquiries and conducting cost accounting evaluations
A solid foundation in the following areas, along with the capability to apply these skills in support of the UK and International FP&A teams, is crucial:
- Experience in finance operations, accounting functions, financial management, and overhead cost analysis.
- Proficiency in budgeting, planning, forecasting, and management reporting, including variance analysis.
- Ability to identify opportunities for ongoing enhancements, including simplification and standardization.
- Proven experience in cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the month-end closing process.
Additionally, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Part-qualified accountant status in ACCA or CIMA
- Relevant experience in a comparable position
