Job Title: School Crossing Patrol

Job Summary: North Lincolnshire Council is seeking a community-minded individual to provide a safe and efficient school crossing service to children and their parents/guardians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize road use and traffic awareness skills to ensure safe passage for pedestrians.
  • Exercise judgment to determine optimal times to stop traffic and allow pedestrians to cross the road.
  • Collaborate with parents and children to promote a safe and healthy environment.
  • Work in conjunction with the school community to enhance safety on the site.

Working Hours: The successful candidate will be required to work during the morning and afternoon periods, specifically:

  • Morning: 8:25am to 9:05am
  • Afternoon: 3:00pm to 3:30pm

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good understanding of road safety and traffic awareness
