Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Fife Council. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our schools and council buildings are clean and safe for staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of cleaning staff to ensure that cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to improve their cleaning skills and knowledge.
  • Follow HR procedures to ensure that staff are managed effectively and that the workplace is a safe and healthy environment.
  • Monitor and report on cleaning standards and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure that cleaning services are integrated with other facilities management services.

Requirements

  • Hold a Cleaning Operatives Efficiency Certificate or equivalent.
  • Have some supervisory experience in a cleaning or facilities management role.
  • Be able to travel to numerous locations within the specified area of work.
  • Have a current Driving Licence.
  • Be able to attend Induction Training before starting in post.

  • A competitive salary of £22,525.71 to £23,633.23 pro-rata.
  • Travel expenses will be paid – we pay 45 pence per mile for staff using their own car.
  • Pay is 4 weekly.

About the Role

This is a permanent vacancy working 15 hours per week as required Monday to Friday on a 52-week contract. The hours of work may vary and need to be flexible on a daily/weekly basis - this can be between 6:00am and 12:00 noon.

You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference in ensuring that our schools and council buildings are clean and safe for staff and clients.
