Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Thorn Baker Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing traditional housing projects in the Bournemouth area, working closely with our Senior Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Site Manager in coordinating and supervising construction projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring project timelines are met and relationships are maintained.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to the Senior Site Manager, providing regular updates and insights.
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and local authorities.

Requirements:

  • SMSTS certification
  • CSCS card
  • First Aid certification
  • Valid Driving Licence
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Assistant Site Manager role with a PLC developer.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Working Conditions:

This role involves working on-site in various weather conditions and may require occasional travel to the head office.
