Job Summary

As a key member of the Practice Education Team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Student Nurses and contributing to the development and maintenance of quality assured placements for students undertaking educational training within the healthcare community.

Main Responsibilities

You will:

  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives at a local, regional, and national level, ensuring the highest standards of practice learning.
  • Act as a conduit between Higher Education Institutions and placement providers, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Influence the preparation and delivery of educational programs that impact the quality of practice learning and student progression.

This role is critical in the provision of the future nursing workforce development, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of practice learning experiences for pre-registration healthcare students.

Key Functions of the Practice Education Team

The team's key functions include:

  • Supporting Practice-based Assessors and Supervisors to ensure student learning opportunities are explored and utilized.
  • Monitoring the quality of practice learning experiences for pre-registration healthcare students.
  • Supporting student development through clinically based educational teaching.
  • Representing the interests of HDFT in terms of pre-registration education locally and nationally.
