Distribution Operations Manager

Bis Henderson Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Distribution Operations Manager to join their dynamic 3PL operation in the Dagenham area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day transport and warehouse operations to ensure a first-class service is provided in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Manage vehicle scheduling and maximize vehicle utilization to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure the receiving and despatch of goods meet customer needs while maintaining individual and team KPIs.
  • Account for and store inventory correctly.
  • Recruit, retain, and train Warehouse and Transport teams.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in a similar role within a customer-centric transport and warehouse operation.
  • Transport Manager CPC is essential.
  • Experience of delivering against agreed budgets and KPIs.
  • Site compliance with relevant employment and transport legislation.
  • Proven leadership abilities with charisma to lead a sizeable team.
  • Understanding of CI techniques, KPI management, Employment Law, and H&S legislation.
