About the Role:
The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for authorizing products in accordance with the product certification procedure at our client's site. This involves inspecting products for proper assembly, checking for defects in finishing, painting, or surface deterioration, and conducting thorough inspections for any physical damages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Certify products by following the product certification procedure and monitoring operators responsible for product certification.
- Inspect products for proper assembly and check all parts for defects in finishing, painting, or surface deterioration.
- Conduct thorough inspections for any physical damages and perform intermediate inspection checks unrelated to product certification.
- Complete manufacturing data pack paperwork and maintain data records and defect reports.
- Control defect items by segregating them from good products and producing relevant inspection and quality control documentation, history sheets, and audits.
- Care for and use specialized inspection tools, ensuring compliance with all applicable manufacturing procedures and meeting inspection times.
- Apply a versatile skill set to various tasks while maintaining the highest workmanship standards and product quality, as well as adhering to good housekeeping policies.
- Contribute to an environment of process improvement.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our client's Security Team.
About Our Client:
Our client has a long-standing relationship with the UK military, spanning over 70 years. They have delivered countless landmarks in defence engineering, supplying vital defence capability to meet the needs of the armed forces over land, sea, and air.
This role is based near our client's site, which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site also offers excellent transportation links. Training and development are provided to all employees.
