About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Director to join our dynamic and supportive law firm, specializing in healthcare regulatory matters. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of regulatory healthcare cases for clients including insurance companies, medical and dental defense organizations, private individuals, and professional associations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of regulatory healthcare cases, including defending healthcare professionals and organizations in regulatory proceedings and disciplinary hearings.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and revenue for the department.
  • Lead and support junior fee-earners, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and objectives, delivering high-quality advice and solutions.
  • Contribute to training initiatives and share knowledge with colleagues to enhance the firm's expertise.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of post-qualification experience as a solicitor, with a strong background in professional discipline matters.
  • Proven track record in business development and growth, with a focus on identifying new opportunities and building relationships.
  • Experience in managing and supporting junior fee-earners, with a strong focus on their development and success.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of complex legal matters, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
