CNC Machining Operations Supervisor –

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee team members on a daily basis during the standard operations of the machine shop in accordance with production schedules.
  • Assess the optimal allocation of workforce within the team.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning, Health & Safety, Commercial, Maintenance, and Engineering Departments.
  • Be prepared to transition responsibilities with another supervisor at the beginning or conclusion of shifts.
  • Recognize any training needs for team members and address capability concerns.
  • Conduct Start of Shift / End of Shift briefings to review the 'SQCDP' metrics.
  • Operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) and other workshop machinery.
  • Manage milling operations post-setup, ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the production cycle.
  • Ensure routine maintenance of machinery is performed as required.
  • Operate both CNC and Manual Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), adhering to protocols to execute programs for quality checks.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with powder metallurgy techniques is essential.
A solid understanding of machining processes, particularly with vertical CNC milling machines and lathes, is required.

Compensation:
Monday to Friday, starting at 06:00, with an alternative shift from Monday to Thursday at 13:00 – (phone number removed) hours per week.
Night shifts from 22:00, Monday to Friday.
Overtime compensated at time and a half.
