Job Summary
Close Brothers Group is seeking a highly skilled Reconciliation Analyst to join our team. As a Reconciliation Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational regulatory reporting undertaken by the business, including CASS, CSDR, FATCA, MiFID Transaction Reporting, and HMRC/ISA reporting.
This role requires technical CASS expertise and challenge/oversight within our business lines. You will be responsible for performing the administration of CASS Control related activities, producing internal and external client cash and stock reconciliations, and identifying and monitoring operational risk in relation to day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the administration of CASS Control related activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Produce high-quality internal and external client cash and stock reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Produce non-client money cash reconciliations and third-party custodian reconciliations.
- Follow the reconciliation processes, ensuring that exceptions are monitored through to completion.
- Fund required reconciliation shortfalls and client overdrawn positions.
- Collate MI required by CASS Committee.
- Identify and monitor operational risk in relation to day-to-day activities.
- Inform Line Manager of areas of concern and issues that may arise.
- Ensure that risks are appropriately identified and that appropriate controls are in place and are operating effectively.
Regulatory Responsibilities
- Demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, while practicing effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.
Requirements
