Job Title: Electrical Engineering Project Engineer

Westlakes Recruit is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in Bridgewater, Somerset, and will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects in the nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a positive HSE culture throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Manage a designated area within the Balance of Plant (BOP) on the project.
  3. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to drive the project forward, ensuring safe delivery, on-time completion, and high-quality results.
  4. Ensure Configuration Control is maintained across the scope of Works Information.
  5. Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant degree in construction or mechanical or electrical engineering, or HND/HNC electrical engineering (desirable).
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience working in a Major Project Engineering role.
  3. CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
  4. Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract is desirable.
Experience:
  1. Proven experience of safely delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects.
  2. Experience in the heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial, as is experience in working within a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
