Job Title: Factory Operative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Factory Operative to join our dynamic team at a well-established greenhouse manufacturer based in East Harling. As a Factory Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient assembly of greenhouse components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing aluminium for the next stage of production
  • Cutting, punching, modification, and preparation of lengths of aluminium and other materials
  • Adhering to technical drawing specifications for both cutting and punching materials, ensuring checks are performed by a senior staff member
  • Following the production plan to ensure timely completion of production runs
  • Reporting of any quality issues to a senior team member
  • Cleaning your workstation at the end of each shift
  • Collaborating with the team to conduct quarterly stock checks accurately and on time

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure maximum productivity
  • Previous experience with metalwork is preferred
  • Comfortable working to targets and deadlines
  • Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks
  • Basic IT knowledge, as our internal training is primarily e-learning
  • Own transport is required due to rural location
  • Ideally, a full UK driving license for occasional collections and deliveries
