The Role: Market Data Vendor Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Data Vendor Manager to join our team in Edinburgh. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient procurement, management, and utilization of market data services essential to our investment operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for market data services, identifying cost-effective solutions that meet Aegon Asset Management's needs.
  • Negotiate favorable contracts with market data vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and terms while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the vendor relationship lifecycle, including performance monitoring, service reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their market data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, agreements, and usage data, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the market data landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar Market Data Vendor Manager role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong negotiation and procurement skills with a demonstrated ability to secure favorable contracts.
  • In-depth understanding of market data products, services, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
