Location: Yeovil

Salary: GBP38,376.94 per annum (Potential for additional hours)

Overtime Rates: Weekdays - GBP24.85 P/H; Weekends - GBP33.14 P/H

Benefits: Company vehicle, pension scheme, BUPA health coverage (single), 33 days of leave (including public holidays)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

On-Call Duty: 1 week in every 4

This position is for a Qualified Electrical Technician on behalf of our client, a leading facilities management company.

Role Overview:

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform both scheduled and reactive electrical maintenance across various locations.

The objective is to execute technical repairs and minor planned maintenance tasks efficiently. You will ensure that all technical documentation and compliance records are consistently updated. All tasks must be carried out to the highest standards while adhering to the company's health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within designated timelines and ensure all necessary documentation is finalized.
  • Respond promptly to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and executing repairs as needed.
  • Conduct tests and repairs on emergency lighting systems.
  • Identify irreparable faults in equipment and machinery, promptly notifying the line manager of findings.
  • Maintain up-to-date compliance documentation at all times.
  • Inform the on-site manager of any repair and maintenance issues that may disrupt operations.
  • Perform surveys and compile reports as necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to the company's health and safety policies.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (1 week in every 4).

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Knowledge of 3 Phase Electrics and its applications.
  • Ability to meet PPM schedules within agreed timelines.
  • Capability to respond to service calls within set timeframes.
  • A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are essential.
