Main Duties:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic dietitian to join our Nutrition and Dietetics team at South London and Maudsley NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a service as part of the Intermediate Care Team and Diabetes Team, providing dietary treatment to support prevention and management of physical health conditions.

Service users have a mental health diagnosis, and referrals are mostly for under-nutrition, underweight, and re-feeding syndrome or over-nutrition and metabolic syndrome linked to mental ill health and psychiatric medications, especially antipsychotics.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering the SLaM weight management programme and general dietetic care in outpatient clinics to community SLaM patients
  • Providing an inpatient dietetic service to service users across the age range admitted to Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), Acute and rehab wards

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC registered
  • Dietetics degree or equivalent
  • In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of relevant qualifications and registration with the relevant registration body if applicable
