Housing Disrepair Litigation Paralegal Opportunity

Expert Law Solicitors is seeking an experienced litigation/housing disrepair paralegal to join their housing disrepair team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling Housing Disrepair files from start to end, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in handling housing disrepair cases.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the housing disrepair protocol and be comfortable with housing disrepair litigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Handle paralegal duties in housing disrepair matters, including drafting and issuing proceedings
  2. Assist in the preparation of cost schedules and advising clients on litigation/cost risk
  3. Provide excellent client care skills and take a pragmatic commercial approach to settlements
  4. Work closely with the team to ensure the smooth handling of housing disrepair cases
  5. Contribute to the growth and development of the housing disrepair team

Requirements:

  • Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years in housing disrepair matters
  • Full understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair Cases
  • Full understanding of S.11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Section 4 of the Defective Premises Act 1972, The Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018, common law nuisance, and negligence
