We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Prudential Risk Manager to join our team at Al Rayan Bank. As a Senior Prudential Risk Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head of Risk in overseeing and shaping the prudential risk management practices across the Bank.
Key Responsibilities- Day-to-Day Monitoring and Second-Line Oversight: Monitor and oversee key Prudential Risk processes, including capital and liquidity forecasting and modelling, funding planning, relevant limits and controls, stress testing, recovery planning, solvent exit analysis, and management reporting.
- Robust Second-Line Oversight: Ensure robust second-line oversight of the Treasury and Finance functions on prudential risk management topics, including management of liquidity risk, funding plans, IRRBB, FX risk, capital risk, and wholesale credit risk.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with a range of stakeholders, including Executive and Board level, to build and streamline existing processes, offering a balance between the business and technical elements of risk management.
- Policy Development and Oversight: Support the development and oversight of Prudential Risk policies, ensuring policies are implemented and a fit-for-purpose control regime is in place to highlight and solve policy gaps and exceptions.
- ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP, and SEA Coordination: Coordinate the delivery of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP), the Recovery Plan and Resolution Pack (RRP), and Solvent Exit Analysis (SEA), ensuring appropriate risk challenge and oversight in the process, and alignment between the key deliverables.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present Prudential Risk Management Information reporting to Management & Board Committees, and proactively analyse and report emerging trends and regulatory changes, assessing the impact to the Bank.
- Masters/Degree Education: Masters/Degree educated preferably in a Risk Management background.
- Strong Risk Management Background: Strong background in Risk Management, preferably having both enterprise risk and prudential risk experience.
- IFRS9 and ECL Understanding: Understanding of IFRS9 / Expected Credit Losses (ECL).
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Analytical, innovative, and enquiring approach, with excellent oral and written communication, facilitation skills, and ability to present confidently and work effectively with staff and management at all levels.
- Project Management and Time Management: Strong organisational and personal effectiveness skills, including time and project management.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends impacting the Bank's risk management principles, policies, and procedures.
